Kit moved with his parents to Kansas in March of 1878 from their home in Knox Co. OH. In 1893 they sold their farm and moved to Gum Log, AR where he lived for a year. At seventeen he was allowed to move back to Gambier, OH to live with his older brother, William, graduate from high school and attend Kenyon College. Kit was a coach, practiced law, and was a Physical Education Director for the YMCA. Later in life he sold real estate. With his wife, Dorothy he had three sons, Charles, William and Robert. Following his wife's death he married Ada Reed in 1950.
