Before Uncle Elisha was born, the family migrated from Georgia to Jackson, Cape Girardeau Co., MO where Uncle Elisha was reared in Bethel Baptist Church. His daddy and grandpa were deacons and his daddy was the Sheriff of Cape County.
I'm sure Uncle Elisha was reared hearing the stories of his Grandpa Wicker fighting in the Revolutionary War; I don't know if he would have been old enough to appreciate the freedom that was secured for us.
I do not know if he ever married or had children.
