John Nolan, a quiet peaceable citizen residing with his wife and three children near North Lewisburg, was murdered Friday by John Glendenning. Glendenning, a man about 40 years of age and of worthless character, he also has a wife and three children, but the wife had secured a divorce a few years ago on grounds of drunkenness. He is the son of William Glendenning, one of the wealthiest and most respected citizens of that portion of Champaign County. John Glendenning then shot and killed kimself.
