Theodore N. "Ted" Hommerding, 91 St. Cloud Nov. 26, 1909-Aug. 30, 2001 Funeral services will be 1 1 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Theodore N. "Ted" Hommerding, age 91, of 136-29th Ave. St. Cloud, who died on Thursday at the St. Cloud Veteran's Administration Medical Center in St. Cloud. Burial will be in Minnesota Veteran's Cemetery in Little Falls. Friends may call on Sunday between 4-8 p.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.VFW Post 428 will pray at 6:30 p.m. followed by the parish prayers at 7 p.m.
Theodore was born November 26, 1909, in St. Nicholas to William and Mary (Lardy) Hommerding. He served in the US Army during WWII in North Africa, Normandy, Italy, and Germany. He married Mary Grams on June 13, 1948, at St. Mary's Cathedral in St. Cloud, and was employed at Frigidaire for 23 years retiring in 1971 He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and VFW Post 428.
Survivors are his brother, Gregor Hommerding of Bemidji; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Genevieve Wenning of Albany.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June 20, 1984; and sisters and brothers, Katie Miller, Emma Keppers, Lena Binsfeld, Lincoln, George, Matt and Henry.
