Iona Sabina Osmond Miller, passed away January 17, 2002 in Ogden, Utah, youngest of seven children born to Alice Catherine Hart and George Anson Osmond.

As the result of an accident, her father died one month before her birth.

Born in Bloomington, ID Dec 17, 1904.

Moved to Logan, UT at the age of five.

Member of the first graduating class at Logan High School.

Graduated with a B.S. degree from Utah State University in 1925.

Taught one year at Driggs High, Driggs, ID.

Teacher of English for several years at Davis High.

Later after marriage, taught for brief periods at Bountiful Junior, Bountiful High, Kaysville Junior and again at Davis High.

Married Horton C. Miller, May 9, 1931 at Evanston, WY. Marriage later solemnized at the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Church activities: president, Farmington Relief Society; president of Primary; literary class leader in ward and stake; counselor in M.I.A. ward and stake.

Lived in Farmington, UT all her married life.

At death of her husband, July 18, 1987, she moved to Ogden, UT.

Traveled extensively throughout her life.

Lived in Laie, HI three separate school years where her husband was affiliated with BYU Hawaii as an instructor.

Survived by her daughter, Lee Anne Miller, New York City; son, Wallace Osmond (Deanna) Miller, Ogden; and grandsons, Gregory Scott Miller, Ogden, Matthew Osmond Miller, Ogden.

Preceded in death by her husband, Horton C. Miller, in 1987.

Services will be 11 a.m. Mon. Jan 21, 2002, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main, where friends may call 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
