Mr. Wayne F. King, 66, passed away suddenly Monday (November 16, 2009) in Blackshear (Pierce Co).
He was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County. He retired from Kleentex in LaGrange, GA as a shipping foreman after 15 years, but he was currently employed by Pierce County Sheriff's Department. He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his father, Barney Edmond King.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Audrie Beverley King of Dixie Union; one son, Charles King (wife Sherry) of Dixie Union; one daughter, Jalita Lauren Dodd (husband Steven) of Dixie Union; eight grandchildren; his mother, Marjorie King of Dixie Union; one brother, Elmond King (wife Shirley) of Brunswick; one sister, Glenda Sue Otsuka (husband Bill) of San Jose, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday (November 19, 2009) at Jordan New Congregational Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Hephzibah Cemetery in Dixie Union. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Music Funeral Home.
