Tommy Golden Black of Arnold was born May 9, 1912, at Ellington and died March 20, 1980 in Springfield at the age of 67. His parents were the late Elmer Black and Ella ( Chitwood ) Black. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Ray Black. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the Rock Port Baptist Church in Arnold and was a member there at the time of his death. Those surviving are his wife, Pauline; one daughter, Delores Todd; a son-in-law David Todd; two grandchildren, Chriss Ann and John Todd of Springfield; four brothers, Charley and Burnice Black, both of Farmington, Mo; Earnest Black of Washington, Mo. and Lester Black of Van Buren, Mo.; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Caviecy of Centerville, and Mrs. Imo Ridenhour of Salem, and numerous other relativess and dear friends. Services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. Les Brown of Arnold, Mo, at the Pewitt Chapel in Ellington, on March 22, 1980. Burial in the Pumpkin Hollow Cemetery. Pewitt Service.
