Joshua C. Drewry was the son of Elijah and Nancy Drewry (from Franklin County Marriage records) Sometimes spelled Druery or Drury.
Pension records state he was born in Bedford County, Virginia.
He married Mary C. Hubbard June 11, 1857 also in Bedford County.
He served in the Confederate army as a Pvt in 14th regiment Infantry Company B, enlisting Apr 1, 1862. He was wounded at Seven Pines battle on Jun 1, 1862. His pension application dated 8/18/1903 states he was permanently disabled due to exposure during the war leading to paralysis.
