Annie was born 20 of September, 1894 in Snyder, Ashley Co, AR. She was the daughter of Samuel James Bethune and Frances Ophelia Machen. Some how she and her two half sisters moved to Lake Village where they worked as telephone operators. It was there she met her husband Guy McDill, whom she married 11 of May, 1920. She was the mother of three sons, Edward Francis Sr (named after his Uncle Edward-the original), Guy Jr, James Mathis and one daughter Ophelia Ann who lived only nine days. She was a short woman, 5'3, true fiery red hair, brown eyes and freckles. She influenced not only her sons, but her grandchildren as well in their life.
She was a wonderful woman who helped to raise me, and I miss her to this day.
