WHITING, Iowa -- Brian C. Reed, 32, of Whiting died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at his residence.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's United Methodist church in Mapleton, Iowa, with the Rev. Robert Fritzmeier officiating. Burial will be in Kennebec Cemetery, Castana, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 7 p.m., at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, Iowa.
Brian was born Oct. 4, 1969, in Onawa, the son of Richard "Hoot" and Bertha (Lalumendre) Reed. He attended school in Mapleton and later earned an associate degree in automotive at Norfolk Community College in Norfolk, Neb. He was employed with O'Reilly Auto Parts in Onawa and MCI.
He married Debra Carrier on Jan. 6, 1993, in Madison, Neb. Debra passed away Nov. 26, 1999.
He was a member of Ticonic Methodist Church.
Survivors include his four children, Zoe, Alex, Cody and Jake, all at home; his parents of Warrensburg, Mo.; a brother and his wife, Eugene and Clara of Warrensburg; three sisters, Karen and her husband, Dale Harwood, of Mesa, Ariz., Nancy Eckert and her son, Chris Tiedtke, of Norfolk, and Dorothy and her husband, Mike Roach, of Olatha, Kan.; his fiancee, Kathy Kelly of Whiting; and Kathy's children, Cody Huntley and Daniel Young.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Debra.
