FORT MYERS-NEWS PRESS, Friday, April 14, 2000 - Robert Michael (Mike) Padilla, Sr., 42, of Cape Coral, FL, died Tuesday, April 11, 2000, in Tampa, FL. He was born in Tampa, FL, and has lived all of his life in the Fort Myers area. He was a member of Covenant Community Ministries in Fort Myers. He was a board member and coach of Cape Coral Babe Ruth Baseball, coach of Cape Coral Junior Football and an avid bowler at Coral Lanes Bowling Lanes. He is survived by his wife, Lujuan; two sons, Robert (Michael) Padilla, Jr., Christopher (Tyler) Padilla both at home. His mother, Vora Sigmon, father, Robert Joe Padilla, grandmother, Eula Edwards of Bell, FL; brother, Terry Eugene Padilla of McMinnville, TN and sister Vickie Watson of New Orleans, LA. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 17, at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, interment will follow. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. The family ask that memorials be made to The Cape Coral Babe Ruth Baseball in memory of Mike. The Coral Ridge Funeral Home and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
