Emma Mills Passes Away at 87 Years

Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. from the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Denis Payne officiating.

Emma Martha Mills, the daughter of Sylvanus H. and Cora (Bushnell) Garman, was born on October 26, 1914 on her parent's farm near Burr Oak, Kansas. She passed away on October 1, 2002 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, NE, at the age of 87 year, 11 months and 5 days.

Emma attended rural school near Burr Oak, Kansas.

On December 18, 1929, at Smith Center, Kansas, she was united in marriage to Emory Lloyd Mills Sr. To this union seven children were born.

Emma and Lloyd managed the Burr Oak Dairy. They moved to Superior, Nebraska in 1961.

Emma enjoyed cooking and visiting with her family and friends. She attended the Nazarene Church in Superior.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Lloyd on August 25, 1972, daughter Shirley, and an infant child Merrett Clarence, sisters, Minnie Marshall, Myrtle Morris, brother, Myron Garman, and a half-sister, Olive Hajny.

Survivors include her children, Loyce Warren and husband LaVerne of Superior, NE, Wanda Wyatt of Grand Lake, CO, Lloyd Jr. and wife Pauline and Marietta Nickell all of Colorado Springs, CO. Leo Mills and wife Linda of Concordia, KS, and Howard Mills of Hebron, NE, grandchildren, Gary Warren, Jenelle Bohling, Charlene Wilton, Wanda Wyatt, Rhonda Shae, Cheryl Bykhoff, LeRoy, Allen, Rodney, Randy and Travis Mills, Randy and Robbie Nickell, Rachel Gropp, Deloris Klein, Robin Mills and Roslyn Heckenlively, and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Music was "The Eastern Gate" and "Beyond the Sunset" with Darrell Miller as soloist and Carol Miller as pianist.

Pallbearers were Robbie Nickell, LeRoy Mills, Allen Mills, Rodney Mills, Travis Mills and Gary Warren.

Memorials may be donor's choice.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, NE.
