HUXLEY – Oscar L. Ryerson, 55 well known Story county farmer died suddenly from a heart attack Wednesday afternoon about 3:30 while at work on his farm east of Huxley.

Ryerson and his son Leslie were engaged in cutting weeds on the Ryerson farm during the afternoon when the elder Mr. Ryerson complained of not feeling well. He rested for a few moments and returned to his work. A few minutes later he suffered a heart attack and died immediately.

Born on a farm near Cambridge, Mr. Ryerson had spent most of his life in the community around Cambridge and Huxley.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the farm home and 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church in Cambridge. Rev. Peder Boland will be in charge.

Burial will be in the Cambridge cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, six sons, Lawrence, Leslie, Obert, Eide, Theodore, Rinard Alfred, one daughter Edith Anne, two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Roe of Kelley and Mrs. John Larson of Elmore, Minn, and one brother Rinard Ryerson of near Ames.
