Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, volunteering for many years with Martha's meals and other church groups, and at Desert Manna. She was a fabulous cook, and loved cooking for her family and friends and shared meals with anyone who was in need. She also sewed and loved listening to music. Mary also spent time transporting people who needed to go to medical appointments and any other place they needed to go.
Surviving Mary are her husband, Desiderio Sanchez of Barstow; her sons, Julian Sanchez and his wife, Margaret of Rancho Cucamonga, Clarence Sanchez and his wife, Cindy of Barstow, Matthew Sanchez and his wife, Jayne of Newberry Springs, and Le Roy Sanchez and his wife, De De of Newberry Springs, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
