Marcella "Marcie" M. Jallo, age 73 of Waubun, MN, died suddenly at her home Wednesday, October 21, 2009.

Marcella Maxine Wilt was born on December 12, 1935 to Joseph and Evelyn (Andrea) Wilt at their home near Mahnomen, MN. She attended Jesse Country School, which was located east of Mahnomen. Marcie worked several years at home, before marrying Arnold Jallo on March 6, 1954. After their marriage, they lived and worked on a dairy farm outside of Fertile, MN, for a few years. In 1958, Arnold and Marcie purchased a farm east of Waubun, where they have made their home since. From the mid 1960's until the late 1970's, Marcie worked for the Swift Company in Detroit Lakes, MN. Beginning in the 1970's, she started house keeping at several resorts in the White Earth, MN, area and continued to help there presently as needed. Marcie began working for the Shooting Star Casino Hotel at the time of its opening and was currently employed there as lead housekeeper.

Marcie had been a member of the Lake Grove Lutheran Church of rural Waubun since the 1960's and was active in both their Ladies Aid and Auxiliary groups. Marcie also kept herself busy with many interests, a few of which included cooking, crafting, collecting Christmas angels, and gardening. She always had a bountiful garden harvest and shared her canned produce with all of her family. Marcie loved taking time to sit visit and simply being around people. She found great joy in her home and taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
