Joan Mae Boxell Dies Near Warren
She Is Third Child Of Mr. And Mrs. Ernest Boxell To Die Of Scarlet Fever
Joan Mae Boxell, a year and six months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Boxell, 1 ½ miles south-west of Warren, died at 9:30 this morning at her home following a two weeks' illness from scarlet fever and complications.
She was the third child of the family to die of scarlet fever within the last six weeks.
Born July 16, 1934, in Salamonie township, Huntington county, she was the daughter of Ernest and Irene Walmsley [sic Wamsley] Boxell.
Surviving are the parents; one brother, Charles, and one sister, Martha, at home. One brother and one sister are deceased.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Woodlawn cemetery at Warren, in charge of Rev. E. E. Kaufman.
