Eva Nilsdotter was born in Agunnaryd of Kronoberg, Sweden to Magnus and Ingrid Nilson. She came to the States at the age of 11. On March 6, 1878 she was united in marriage to Ola Peterson of rural Sycamore whose death occurred in 1924. They farmed northeast of Sycamore. Her life centered around her home, family and church. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran church for years.
