Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.
Born April 4, 1924, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Landy "T.L." and Bessie Mae Teal McDuffie.
She worked at many of the local Albemarle restaurants and retired from the Share Home of Albemarle. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Mrs. Drye was a member of Cannon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth M. Poplin.
She is survived by three sons, Charles F. Drye, Donald K. Drye and Gene Michael Drye, all of Albemarle; a brother, Thomas L. McDuffie Jr. of Fayetteville; two sisters, Nancy M. Eudy of Concord and Sylvia M. Sides of Albemarle; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
