Jeanne was born in Hartford on July 20, 1924 and was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Hazel (Smith) Buskey.
She resided in Bristol all her life and attended Bristol Schools. She was employed at the Bristol Hospital as a Registered Nurse and prior to retiring in 1984 she was a teacher at the South Side School.
She was a member of the Bristol Baptist Church, served as an Army Cadet Nurse during World War II, and was a charter member of Women in Military Service. She also was a member of the Bristol Historical Society, Bristol Association of Retired Teachers, Association of Retired Teachers of Connecticut, Hartford County Association of Retired Teachers.
Jeanne is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Belinda DiPietro of Plymouth; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary DiPietro of Bristol, Nancy and Robert Therriault of Bristol, and Frances and John Socha of Columbia; a sister, Elida Naylor of North Adams, MA; seven grandchildren, Jill, Michael, and Katie DiPietro, Nicholas, Jaime, and Ryan Therriault, and Ted Socha; two great grandchildren, James and Emily Tucker; a cousin, Linda Manning of Farmington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Robert Therriault.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bristol Baptist Church, Bristol.
Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol.
Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue, Bristol, on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
