Robert Turpin for 63 years a resident of the Mt. Zion neighborhood died at 6:30 oclock Thursday evening in his home, near Mt. Zion following an illness from a complication of diseases.
He was born at Mt. Zion March 3, 1854 and that neighborhood had been his home all his life. He leaves his wife and the following children,Thomas Turpin, Mrs. Myrtle McCoy, Argenta, Mrs. Susie Bledsoe, Mt. Zion, Mrs. Claire Oden, Milwaukee and Miss Martha Turpin, Mt. Zion. He also leaves a brother, Abe Turpin of Mt. Zion and a a sister Mrs. Mandy Kinze of La Place.
Services will be Saturday with burial in the Mt. Zion cemetery.
