Betty L. Gouldh died on Saturday, December 15, 2007, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Betty was born on May 31, 1936, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, to Earl L. and Geneva L. Inman Anderson. She grew up and attended school in Stillwater. Throughout her life, Betty had lived in several different places primarily in Northern California. She returned to Lawton in late 90's and remained here until her death. Betty loved life, people and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include her son, Andrew F. Gouldh and his partner, Lawrence Barbosa, of West Hollywood, California; two grandsons, Andrew Hurley of Lawton, Oklahoma, and James Andrew Sims and his wife, LaWayne, of Wichita Falls, Texas; a great granddaughter, Sherrell Sims; and a host of adopted family, including an adopted daughter, Denise Ronan of Geronimo, Oklahoma, and an adopted sister, Carole McIntrye of Lawton, Oklahoma; and three nieces, Donna Patton, Vanessa Anderson and her husband, Gary and Ranae Nesset, all of Northern California; her step-father, Zeb Dorsett and his wife, Mary, also of Northern California; and a special friend, Moochie.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherrell Sims, two sons, James and Michael Sims, her parents and a sister, Mary Hicks.
At the request of the deceased, there will not be a memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, 1930 Ferris Ave., Suite 5, Lawton, OK 73507.
