Spencer and Della were married 23 May 1893 / Quapaw Indian Reservation. They had 8 children: Clara, Adelia, Josie, Bertha, Addie, Frankie, Bonnie, & Richard. He died in a lead/zinc mine cave in accident.

Picher, Okla., Sept. 10 - The funeral of Spencer Carnal, 54 years old who met death yesterday in a chat slide at the Admiralty Mine No. 3, was held from the family home in Douthat this afternoon. Burial was in the Miami Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Della Carnal, and seven children, four of whom reside at home.

The funeral of Spencer Carnal, age 54, who met death yesterday when caught in a chat slide at the Admiralty Mine No. 3, was held from the family home at Douthat Oklahoma, this afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery, Miami, under the direction of the Todd funeral home, Picher.

The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Della Carnal, and seven children, four of whom reside at home. About twenty-five members of the Ku Klux Klan assembled at the Carnal home last night about 8 o'clock and placed a fiery cross upon the casket.
