WHITE HALL — Marie Ashcraft, age 83 of White Hall, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008.

Born Aug. 16, 1924, at Pansy, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Emit Tooke and Myrtle Byrd Tooke.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and worked with her husband in their family business, Arkansas White Rock Inc. for 30 years.

Survivors include her husband, James Othel (J.O.) Ashcraft, to whom she was married on Aug. 30, 1942, at Sheridan; a son, James R. Ashcraft of Jefferson; three grandsons, Richard Ashcraft of Tampa, Fla., Ronnie Ashcraft of White Hall, and Michael Ashcraft of Nashville, Tenn.; and three great-grandchildren, Tiffany and Bradley Ashcraft, both of Sheridan and Sophia Leigh Ann Ashcraft of Nashville, Tenn.

Funeral services will be Wednesday 10 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Donald Ray Ashcraft officiating. Private committal services will be in Mount Ida Cemetery near White Hall.

Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
