Mrs. Scubelek attended Smithsburg schools. She and her husband, A. Wayne Scubelek, were married Jan. 4,1967. They lived at the present residence since 1972.
In her early life, she was a waitress at the Dixie Restaurant, Greencastle, and the Unique Restaurant,
Waynesboro. She then was employed at Austin Hill and Henicle's Market, both in Waynesboro, and
the Waynesboro Knitting Mill. Prior to retiring in April 1993, she was a cashier at Kmart in Chambersburg. Mrs. Scubelek was a member of the former First Christian Church of Waynesboro. She also was a member of the national AARP. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Debra K. Morrow of Waynesboro; one son, Darrell L. Zeger of Waynesboro; one sister, Louise Eakle of Boonsboro, Md.; one brother, Jerry Smith of Ringgold; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro, with Pastor Kenneth M. Forsythe officiating. Burial will be in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain.
