Everett M. Bidwell
SIDNEY - Everett M. Bidwell, 68, of 58 East Main Street, Sidney, an electrical contractor, died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 17 at the Hospital, Sidney.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday February 20 at C. H. Landers Chapel, Sidney with the Rev. Donald W. Bartholomay, pastor of the Sidney United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be later in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
Mr. Bidwell was born June 17, 1902 in Sidney Center, a son of Frank A. and Minnie (Merrill) Bidwell. He married Margaret Galvin on November 23, 1922 in Sidney.
He spent his lifetime in the Sidney area.
He was a member of the Sidney United Methodist Church; a 32nd Degree Mason; a member of the Sidney Masonic Lodge 801, F. & A.M.; Oneonta Lodge of Perfection, A.A.S.R.; the Consistary, A.A.S.R., Binghamton; the Masonic Temple Corporation, Sidney; Zor Grotto, Sidney and a past Monarch and past District Deputy of Zor Grotto.
He was a charter member of the Del-Chenango Rod and Gun Club, Sidney.
Surviving are his wife; a son Everett W. Bidwell, Sidney, five daughters, Mrs. William (Martha) Martin, Sidney, Mrs. Norman (Barbara) Schweighofer, Sidney, Mrs. David (Freida) Putnam, Merrimac, Mass.; Mrs. William (Dortha) Volt, Sidney, and Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Woodford, Belford, L.I.; a sister, Mrs. Martha Cooper, Orange Calif.; and several cousins.
Friends may call at their convenience Friday at the funeral chapel.
The family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday
Masonic services will be at 8 p.m.
