Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Hersman Funeral Home Chapel for Walter P. Roney, former Wagoner resident who died Friday, November 30, 1956, in Inglewood California. He was born in Cross Timbers, Missouri and lived here for many years prior to moving to California. He was the son of Julia Alvencia (Green) Roney and Reuben A. Roney.
Survivors are six sisters, Mrs. V. H. Odom, Wagoner; Miss Verna Roney and Mrs. Donna Mayes both of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Paul Wilson of Pryor; Mrs. Roy Ruffner, San Francisco, California; and Mrs. Edna Miller, Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Rev. Leslie White, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of the Hersman Funeral Home, Wagoner.
Services are being held in Inglewood today (Tuesday) for Mrs. Roney. Pallbearers will be , Jim Kraker, Nolan Smith, Owen Dugger, Jim Edmiston, all of Wagoner; Morgan Hays, Broken Arrow, and Waldo Jones, Adair.
