Mary Elizabeth Whaley Andrews Blewett was born in Georgia, probably in Clarke County. Daughter of James D Whaley and Rachel Arthur. She married 1st to Franklin M Andrews (date unknown) son of Roland Andrews and Helve Kelley. After the birth of two sons in Arkansas, the family relocated to Wise County, Texas by 1861. Franklin M Andrews appears on the Wise Co, TX tax roll for 1862 and disappears, no records of Military Service can be found. DNA testing has shown numerous connections to members of his biological family. They had three sons: James Rollen Andrews, George Allen Andrews and John Harris Andrews. She married 2nd to James Love Blewett in 1869 in Collin County, Texas and bore 6 more children. She died in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Per The Wise County Messenger she died at the home of her daughter Jimmie Ann Blewett Carroll in Tarrant County, TX and was brought back to Wise Co, TX for burial.
