William Otto Brockway Sr.
(August 29, 1898 - September 14, 1982)
Vancouver - Age 84, died September 14, 1982, at home, Vancouver, Washington. Born August 29, 1898, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Lived at 3016 NE 54th St. and had been a Vancouver area resident 41 years.
He was the retired President of Pisgah Home Colony, Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary on September 14, 1979. Sons, Jefferson L. Brockway and William O. Brockway Jr., both of Vancouver. Daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Neva) Maloney, Vancouver; Mrs. August (Marjean) White, Portland; and Mrs. James (Violet) Robinson, Hillsboro, Oregon. Seventeen grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Charles G. Brockway, West Palm Beach, Fla. and Maywood L. Brockway, Redmond City, California. Sisters, Leta Krohne, Baytown, Texas, and Harriett Brown, Santa Monica, California.
He attended New Life Bible Fellowship, Vancouver. Friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, September 17th, 1p.m., at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, 1101 NE 112th Ave. Rev. Jeffrey Brockway, grandson of Mr. brockway will officiate.
Friends are also inivted to meet with the family in the Chapel's Hospitality Room following the serviecs. Vault interment will be at the Garden of Peace, Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Mr. Brockway's name may be given to the New Life Bible Fellowship, 1812 NW 103rd St., Vancouver, Washington 98665.
Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, located at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, is in charge of arrnagements.
