YAKIMA - Ethel Cheshier, 93, of Yakima, passed away August 5, 2012 at home surrounded by family.
She was born March 9, 1919 in Clinton, OK to Elsie & Walter Lane. She moved to Washington State in 1932.
She married Oliver Merle Cheshier August, 15, 1938.
After her husband returned from World War II they moved to Union Gap, WA in 1946 and during this time they enjoyed camping, boating, and salmon fishing. In 1965 they moved into their newly built home in Terrace Heights which they both enjoyed sharing with family and friends. Some of her personal passions were sewing, crafting, playing cards, and collecting humming birds.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Merlyne Jenkins (Paul), Rena Steiner both of Yakima; 2 sisters Gladys Floyd, Joyce Beaushaw and 3 brothers Earl Lane, Herbert Lane, all of Yakima, and Albert Lane, of Oklahoma. She has 4 grandchildren Kristina Jones (Mark), Cynthia, Troy, Tod Cheshier, and 4 great grandchildren Sabrina Jones, Angel, Shyan, Marvin Cheshier.
She was preceded in death by her husband Oliver M Cheshier, son Marvin Cheshier, and son-in-law K. Vance Steiner.
