Della Fortenberry, 64, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 4, 2008.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Arden Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Bigham, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Mrs. Fortenberry was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Colbert, Okla. She loved working on her computer and traveling. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She loved her family and her bichon, Beau, and she always had a smile everywhere she went.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Fortenberry Sr.; her father, Charles William Bohannan; and a brother, Clyde William Bahannan.
Survivors include her mother, Lida Bohannan; five daughters, Lynda Cox of Dumas, Rhonda Greathouse of Amarillo, Trishia Schwertner of Clarendon, Tammy Hardwick of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Sharon Warren of Wichita Falls; four sons, Elmo Ray Fortenberry Jr. of Amarillo, James Harkrider and Jed Harkrider of Zephyrhills and Patrick Harkrider of Wichita Falls; a niece, Lea Smith; and two nephews, Leslie Bohannan and Scott Bohannan.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or the American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
