OBITUARY
PETER LA JESSE
Peter La Jesse died at his home in Ghent Monday after a short illness and was buried at the Ghent cemetery on Wednesday. As the deceased was a member of the Woodman lodge of this city, Messrs Champlin, Adler, Neill, Woodard, Geo. Minnick, Joe Bedore, and John Cook attended the funeral, going with Undertaker Chittenden to that place. The deceased was forty six years of age and left behind six children, three of whom are married, and a wife. Mr. La Jesse was taken suddenly ill while working near home a little over a week ago. An operation was performed by a St. Paul physician in hopes to save his life, but it was without success, as an intestine had been ruptured while he was at work.
