Jeannette Lee Harned Stith, 85, formerly of Custer and Radcliff, died Saturday, April 7,2007 at North Hardin Health & Rehab in Radcliff,KY. She was born on April 18,1921 in Breckinridge County to Hubert Lee and Mollie Frances Dyer Harned. She married Willard Lewis Stith on November 20,1937 and they had 54 years together before he passed away on October 21,1991. She was the beloved Mother of 7 children. Lewis Leon Stith (Virginia) of Kell,IL, Willard Larry Stith (Sonja) of Milner,GA, Garry Leo Stith (Grace) of Surfside Beach,SC, Franklin Etheridge Stith (deceased), Willnetta Stith Lewis (Danny)of Sun City,FL, Annetta Stith Martin (Rois) of Jackson,GA, Emma Stith Marcum (Fred) of Custer,KY. She was the sister of Delano Dyer Harned (deceased). In 1966 she started the Harned Homecoming on the site of the Custer Methodist Church. She was dedicated to the memory of her ancestors and family that had done so much for Custer,KY. She continued to have the homecomings until this past year. She was the Grandmother to Michelle Louk, Garry "Butch" Stith, Kenneth Mattingly, Tonya Wilbur, Chuck Marcum, Larry Marcum and Maura Gerard. She was "Young Grandmom" to Christa,Brianna and Cheyenne Stith, Jordyn Mattingly,Kiegan Wilbur, Lucy Marcum,Nicholas Marcum,Nicholas and Emily Gerard. The funeral service will be at 12PM EDT, April 10,2007 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg,KY with interment in Custer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Mattingly,Chuck Marcum,Larry Marcum,Dale Wilbur,Lyndall Harned and Michael Harned. Honorary pallbearers will be Tonya Wilbur and Garry "Butch" Stith. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9,2007 from 4-9 PM EDT and after 9:30 AM EDT Tuesday.
