KINGSLAND-Floyd I. Clifton, 74, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 1998, at a Burnet medical center.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Marble Falls. Officiating: Bro. Max Copeland.
Burial: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Scranton Cemetery in Scranton, Texas.
Floyd Clifton was born Nov. 6, 1923, near Albany in Shackelford County, Texas. He was the son of Oliver C. and Annie Clifton, who preceded him in death in the early 1970s. Floyd had been a resident of Marble Falls since 1990 and most recently had moved to Kingsland, where he was residing in the Kingsland Hills Care Center.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Oleta and Elizabeth. His first wife, Frances Shrader, passed away early in their marriage in 1947. Floyd married Jessie McIntosh on June 10, 1948, in Novice, Texas.
Survivors: Sons, Gary and wife, Melissa, of Fort Worth, Guy and close friend, Patricia Crone, and son, Hunter, of Marble Falls, and Bob and wife Jo Anne, of Marble Falls; four beautiful and healthy grandchildren, Brandi and Carley, both of Hamlin, Chloe of Forth Worth and Dimitri of Marble Falls; brothers, O.C. Jr. and Maxine of Sugarland, Leldon and Kenna of Abilene, and twin brother, Lloyd and Sue of Tulsa, Okla.; brother-in-law, Joe Bently of Eula; several nieces and nephews; he was fortunate to remain close to members of the McIntosh and Shrader families who still consider him part of their families until his death. He has an array and multitude of friends from all over Texas.
