Mrs. Briggs, 55, Dies
ALBANY - Mrs. Fred Briggs, 55, died at her farm home near here Friday morning. Death was caused by pneumonia with which she had been ill for about a week.
Born in England, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Burgess, she was married in 1906. They came to this country in 1911, settling near Monticello. Later they moved to Evansville. For the last seven years they have lived near here.
Survivors are the widower; a daughter, Mary, at home; seven sons, John Briggs, Evansville, Hubert Briggs, near Albany, Archie, Albert, Victor, William, and Charles Briggs, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Anna Burgess of England; a grandchild; three sisters, and three brothers, all of England.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
