Burial services for Dr W. S. Pemberton, were at St Francis Cemetery, Harrington, at noon, August 18, 1961. Dr Pemberton died in Spokane following months of illness. Rosary was said Thursday evening in the Rose chapel of Hennessey Funeral Home in Spokane and funeral services were from St Aloysius church. Rev Hubert Adams, SJ, brother-in-law of the deceased man, officiated. Mr. Pemberton was an early resident of Harrington where he practiced dentistry for many years. Recently he was a dental specialist in Spokane. Surviving Mr. Pemberton are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Wickwire and Mrs. Frances Bellinger, both of Ephrata, WA; grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; one brother, John Pemberton, Etowah, TN; sisters, Mrs. Gladys LaFarce, Mrs. Alice ___els, Mrs. Mollie Bolling, all of Corbin, KS; Mrs. Ethelbert Maude Pemberton, Knoxville, TN; Mrs. ___ Yaden, Covington, KS; Mrs. Lulu K. Wade Adams of Spokane, 96 years, his mother-in-law, also survives. (Citizen-24 Aug 1961)
