Gladys Quinn Dobbins, 85, formerly of 504 New Woodruff Road, widow of Judson Curtis Dobbins, died November 8, 2009 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Dobbins was a resident of Ashlan Village for a year. A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Boyce Sexton and Ila Mae Blackwell Quinn, she was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, J. Dennis (Mandy) Dobbins of Inman; a brother, Gary Quinn of Duncan; two sisters, Evelyn Jones and Shirley Blackwell both of Greer; five grandchildren, Michael (Mary Grace) Hughes, Mark (Donna) Hughes, Sandra (Darrell) Schults, Pam Hinton, Brent (Stephanie) Dobbins and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Dobbins was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara C. Hughes and a sister, Dorothy Johnson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary conducted by Rev. Keith Kelly. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Darrell Schults, Steven Schults, Billy Saunders, John Saunders, Gundy Stewart and Skipper Woodruff. Visitation will be held 12:45-1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home of Sandra Schults, 34 Bailess Court, Greer, S.C. 29650.
