"R. V. Abbley Sr. Taken By Death"
"R. V. Abbley, Sr., 66 died at 11:45 this morning at his home in Pass Christian. He was born in Biloxi and had made his home in Pass Christian for 37 years and was manager of Dunbar-Dukate Packing Company until eight years ago when he became a semi-invalid. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Agnes C. Castaned Abbley, and the following children: R. V. Abbley, Jr., Elwood Abbley, Hazel Abbley, Mrs. May Vancourt, Mrs. Ione Russell, Texas, and three sisters, Mrs. J. P. McCabe, Miss Laura Abbley and Mrs. Harry Haise of all Biloxi. Seven grandchildren also survive. Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of Mrs. Russell from Texas."

"The funeral of R. V. Abbley, Sr., who died at his home in Pass Christian Tuesday, will be held from the O'Keefe Funeral Parlors in Biloxi at 9:15 o'clock Thursday morning. Mr. Abbley's body will be brought to the parlors at five o'clock this afgernoon. Funeral services will be followed by requiem mass at 9:30 at the Church of Nativity. Interment will be in Biloxi Cemetery."
