Service was to be at 1 pm Saturday at Newark Church of Christ, where he was a member. Tom Bartell and Roger Price and the church were to officiate. Burial was to be in Crafton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were to be Alan, Tony, Blake and Tim Stockard, Mike and Jeff Stewart, Bob Dederick and Bobby Cowling.
Stockard, born July 14, 1902 in Wise County, was a retired miller. He worked at Burrus Milling Company for 27 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ophelia, and sons, Hollis and Kenneth.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Stockard; sons, Ray Stockard of Amarillo and Carroll Stockard of Fort Worth; daughters, Venita Dederick of Newark and Marjorie Stewart of Hurst; step-sons, Read Mann of Fort Worth, Loyd Mann of Newark and James Mann of Brownwood; step-daughters, Bobbie Pike of Saginaw and Wanda Winslager of Newark; 21 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
