Mrs. Lillian M. Ross Rogers age 89, of Waynesville, passed away October 12, 2013 at Autumn Care. She was born in Haywood County to the late Dewey Francis and Maggie Jane Knight Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Virgil Rogers; brothers James Dewey Ross, Gerald Ross, Sanford Ross; and a sister Velda Ross Hall.
Mrs. Rogers attended nursing school and worked at Dayco for a number of years. Survivors include her son Anthony Lee Rogers and his wife Phyllis of McDonough GA; daughters April Rogers McCoy and her husband Jody of Clyde, Alice Rogers Muller and her husband Fred of Marion; brothers Johnny R. Ross and his wife Shirley of Dalton GA, Cecil Ross of Bethel; sister Freida Ross Hardin of Waynesville; grandchildren Kayla Snipes, Jessie Snipes, Kevin Rogers, Donnie Rogers; great-grandchildren Kinsley Snipes, McKenzie, Aidan, Ocean, Lochlen and Knox Rogers.
Funeral Services will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30PM until the hour of the service. Mrs. Rogers will be laid to rest beside her husband at Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery on Upper Crabtree. Garrett Funerals and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
