Elmer George Boeckman, a lifelong resident of Wilsonville, passed away on Nov. 5, 2009, due to complications of Alzheimer's disease. He was 91. Elmer began farming on the Boeckman homestead at the age of 10, when his father unexpectedly died. He lived on or near Boeckman Road all of his life. Elmer is survived by his wife of 68 years, Hilda; daughters, Judi Martin (Tom) of Milwaukie and Candy Bennett (Mike) of Wilsonville; son, Steven of Wilsonville; and grandson, Ryan of Tualatin. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in Meridian United Church of Christ (Frogpond Church) in Wilsonville, where Elmer was a lifelong member. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Meridian United Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 917, Wilsonville, OR 97070.
