PARADISE -- Grover Odell Cleveland, 77, an accomplished workman, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, at home. Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday at Cottondale Church of Christ. Burial: Cottondale Cemetery.

Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Edith Meadows Cleveland; son, Jeffrey B. Cleveland; daughter, Deborah Garrett and husband, Jim; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister, Georgia Ruth Morris; brother, Gerald C. Cleveland; special niece, Vickie Bowers.

Funeral for Grover Odell Cleveland, 77, of Paradise was April 25 at the Cottondale Church of Christ. Danny Russell and Gerald Cleveland officiated. Burial followed at Cottondale Cemetery.

Cleveland died Saturday, April 23, 2005, in Paradise.

Born Oct. 19, 1927, in Cottondale to Omar and Zula (Crawford) Cleveland, he was an accomplished worker. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Cottondale Church of Christ. He married Edith Meadows Dec. 18, 1949, in Paradise.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Jeffery B. Cleveland of Cottondale; a daughter, Deborah Garrett and husband, Jim, of Marble Falls; four grandchildren, Amber, Crystal, Wesley and Russell; a great-granddaughter, Jazmin; a brother, Gerald C. Cleveland and wife, Carolyn, of Paradise; a sister, Georgia Ruth Morris and husband, Roy Hulen, of Paradise; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers were L.S. Bonner, Coy Cleveland, Marvin Crawford, Marvin Cox, Mark Neely, Jay Foster, Davis Martin and Joe Tax.
