Mrs. Catherine Hodges Dies
Mrs. Catherine Hodges, 87, of Joplin, died Saturday in the Chester hospital. Services were at the Joplin Lutheran Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Hodges was born in Oquawaka, Ill. She was married to James Hodges in February 1902. He died June 8, 1958. They came to Montana in 1912 and homesteaded north of Joplin. Aside from five years in Kalispell, Mrs. Hodges has lived in the Joplin area since then.
Survivors include a dauglhter, Mrs. Maude VanDessel of Havre; sons, James of Wenatchee, Wash., Harold and William of Joplin, Donald of South St. Paul, Minn., and Eugene of Kalispell; a sister, Mrs. Mae Burton, Joplin, and a brother in Illinois, 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
