Lucy Camp Swift, dau. of Silas Nathaniel Swift and Sylvia Camp, b. Nov. 15, 1840 at Fairfax, VT and d. in 1935, Æ 95. At her death she was residing at Davenport, IA with the family of her son-in-law and dau., Edson N. and Emily Maria (Robinson) Coleman.

Prior to her death, on June 28, 1912 the widow Lucy Camp (Swift) Robinson was elected member No. 1190 of the Society of Mayflower Descendants, as "Mrs. William Albert Robinson of Davenport, Iowa, eighth in descent from Richard Warren" [The Mayflower Descendant, 14:249].

On Sept. 1, 1862 at Morrisville, VT, Lucy m. Rev. William Albert Robinson, s. of Rev. Septimius Robinson and Semantha Washburn, b. Feb. 24, 1840 at Morrisville, VT. He d. Oct. 18, 1910, Æ 71, at Davenport, IA while also residing with his son-in-law's family. Lucy and her husband had two children outlined in their father's memorial.

Lucy's father was the son of Silas Swift and grandson of Charles Swift and Deborah Clark of Lebanon, Conn. Charles Swift was the son of Silas Swift and grandson of Jirah Swift and his first wife Abigail Gibbs of Sandwich, Mass. Jirah Swift was the son of William Swift, Jr. and grandson of the immigrant William Swift, Sr. of Sandwich and his 2nd wife, the widow Joan Dimbly, both b. in England.

Lucy Camp Swift's husband, Rev. William Albert Robinson, was the paternal descendant of the same William Swift, Sr. of Sandwich by William's first wife Sarah, who died in England.

It is amazing how after the passage of more than 200 years a marriage could result between persons who were sixth half-cousins. Fate or blind circumstance?
