Peter's obituary:
Hartman.--Peter Elias Hartman was born in Livingston Co., Ill., Oct. 27, 1875; died March 7, 1910; aged 34 y. 4 m. 10 d. He had lived at the same place all his life. At about the age of 15, he gave his life to God, was received into the Mennonite Church and lived a faithful Christian life until death. He bore his afflictions with patience for four years. He leaves father, mother, 7 brothers and 3 sisters to mourn his early departure. One brother and one sister preceded him to the spirit world.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cullom Church by A. H. Lehman and S. Honderich from II Cor. 3:18 in the presence of a large concourse of neighbors and friends.
