Donald Clifton Berg Obituary
Don C. Berg, prominent as a Utah sheep rancher all his life, died March 6, 1998 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law of natural causes.
He was born April 2, 1904 in Midway, a son of John E. Berg and Elizabeth Burgener. When he was 10 years old his family moved to American Fork and has been a life-long resident since. He attended Harrington grade school and graduated from American Fork High School. He also attended Henegar Business College.
He married his sweetheart, his companion, Bernice Young June 9, 1927 in Heber City. They had 57 wonderful years together, sharing the greatest love story. He had a deep and abiding love for his family, and a very special gift with children. His grandchildren and great grandchildren adored him. He was a great example of a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Don is survived by a son and three daughters, Don Berg, Jr. and Marge of Pleasant Grove; Shirley Mower and Bill of Kemmerer, Wyoming; Beverly Holden of St. Helena, California; Joan Cummings and Ray of Heber; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Olive Bowman, Las Vegas; Alta Johnson, St. George; Vida Peterson, Marie Brown, both of Orem; sister-in-law, Wilma Barrett and Bud of Pleasant Grove; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 10, at 11 a.m. in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Monday 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
