Betty Jane Graves Coberley, 70, a resident of Chillicothe, Mo., and a former resident of Chula, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Mo.
Betty was born June 6, 1939 in Livingston County, Mo., the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Jane (Melte) Graves. She married Gerald E. Coberley on June 21, 1958 in Chillicothe,?Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2003.
She lived most of her life on the farm in Chula, Mo.
She is survived by two sons, Steven Graves and wife Leigh Ann, Marshall, Mo., and J.C. Coberley and wife Leana, Chula,?Mo.; three daughters, Kim Riddle and companion Tom Jones, Chillicothe, Mo., Diana Mendenhall and husband Wayne, Mercer, Mo., and Theresa Wilson and husband Clifton, Sturgeon, Mo.; four brothers, Lawrence Graves, Purdin, Mo., Jim Graves, Brookfield, Mo., Bob Graves, Galt, Mo., and Ben Graves, Chillicothe, Mo.; three sisters, Donna Boley, Laclede, Mo., Ruby Stoneburner, Browning,?Mo., and Linda Davidson, Brookfield,?Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Hilary, Ponch, Ashley, Brady, Emily, Taylor, Dakota, Cheyenne, Tyler and Austin; two step-grandchildren, Brandon and Jenna; and five great-grandchildren, Austin D., Madison, Hailey, Makaya and Keonnia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Mary Lavada and one sister, Barbara Biswell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. There will be a family visitaton on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo. Friends may call on Friday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Mo.
