Charline May Buroker, age 91, passed away on Jan. 19, 2011 in Chewelah. She was the second child born to Charles and Anna (Graham) Trimble on Oct. 5, 1919. Charline and her sib lings, Audrey and Earl, were all raised in Ione.

After graduating from Ione High School, Charline moved to Chicago, Illinois and enrolled in a business college. Once Charline graduated from business college, she moved to Spokane and began her working career at Kinman Business College. She also worked at the Spokesman Review and Eastern Washington State College.

Charline met Fred Buroker while living in Cheney, and after a brief courtship, they married on August 17, 1940. They spent a few years in Kelso before moving back to the Northwest. Fred and Charline managed the family resort, "Trim ble Resort," located on Heritage Lake, until they both retired.

Charline was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Fred Buroker; her parents; her brother Earl; and her nephew, Glen.

Charline was laid to rest next to her husband Fred, on Jan. 25 at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville. A Memorial Service for Charline will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be given to her church, Colville Christian Church, 828 S. Summit, Colville, Washington 99114. The Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.
