Irene Hicks was the daughter of William Wade Hicks and Frances Parthena "Senie" Price. Irene's death certificate indicates that her birth was 25 Jun 1877 and her tombstone has her birth as 1881. Irene married William Talley Lively. Irene is the granddaughter of James L Price and Rebecca Ann Connell.

Obituary:

Mrs. Irene Lively, 91, died July 7th in a Lewisville nursing home. She had been in ill health for three years and about two and half years ago she went to Lewisville to live with a sister.

A native of Alabama, she and her husband, Tal Lively, moved to Decatur in 1928 where he passed away a number of years ago. She was a member of the Decatur First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Meadows of Lewisville, Mrs. Mamie Hollstein and Mrs. Odel Tucker both of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Hattie Popwell of Mississippi; and one brother, Roy Hicks, of Alabama.

Rev. G. C. Randolph conducted the funeral services at Christian's Chapel at 2 p.m. July 9th. Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Walt Amonett, Chris McCurley, Ray Loveday, Bill Brown, Leon Borchardt and Jimmie Borchardt acting as pallbearers.
