Granbury: Blanche Earline Bennett May, 90, formerly of Decatur, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, January 27, 2011 in Granbury, Texas. Service is 1 p.m. Monday, January 31st at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Ross officiating. Interment will follow service in Oaklawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Calvin Buchanan, Pat Collins, Ron Hess, Bob Hussey, Jerry Myers and H.L. Ross.

Blanche was born April 3, 1920 in Pennington, Texas to Edgar Clifton and Rosalee (Hutson) Dominy. She married Horace Hudson Bennett on July 4, 1942 in Marshall, Texas. They lived in Decatur for many years and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1986. She later married Jack William May on October 14, 1992 in Granbury where she lived until her death. Blanche was a longtime educator in the Decatur ISD, a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 18 years; daughters, Linda Karene Bennett of Florida and Sharon Lee Jean of Grapevine; son, Michael Dominy Bennett of Lewisville; sister, Martha Charlene Burkett of California; grandchild, Jeb Eric Callan; and great grandchild, Phoebie Callan.

Blanche is also preceded in death by an adopted brother, Phillip Marvin Hutson.
