Mary Elizabeth Smith, age 82, of Cedar Hill, Texas died August 18, 1981 in the Chester Hospital, Dallas, Texas. Burial at Guiceland Cemetery at Salmon community north of Grapeland, Texas under the direction of Hassell & Foster Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was born February 5, 1899 in Axtell, Texas to Henry E. Blanchard and Emma Elizabeth Conn Blanchard. She was a member of the Westmoreland Heights Baptist Church in Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Oliver Smith in 1966; and children, Reba Blackwell, and R. C. Smith. She was survived by children; Alfred Smith, Travis Smith, Luther Smith, Delma Smith, Donald Smith, Emma Emmons, Della Ivy, Edna Sharp, Henrietta Richbourg, and Ineta Self; brothers, John W. Sanches, and Barney Blanchard; sisters, Martha Lee Salyer, Della Calloway, and Beatrice Keaton; 40 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
